Friends and family from all over the world flew in for Amy Winehouse's funeral at a private ceremony in London to say a final farewell to the 27-year-old "Rehab" singer.
Kelly Osbourne and Mark Ronson were some of the the celebrity friends in attendance. Winehouse's ex husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was not allowed to attend the event due to his current prison sentence for violent crimes.
Amy's recent boyfriend (Reg Traviss) told the UK's Sun:
- "I can't describe what I am going through and I want to thank so much all of the people who have paid their respects and who are mourning the loss of Amy, such a beautiful, brilliant person and my dear love. I have lost my darling who I loved very much."
The hour-long service was partially in Hebrew because of her Jewish heritage. "It was emotional, it was happy and it was sad," her rep said. "It was everything really."
When the service coming to a close, Carole King's "So Far Away," a song Amy had performed with Mitch in the past, was played. Mitch encouraged the crowd to sing, and they did.
Winehouse's body was then taken to the same crematorium where her grandmother was cremated. The singer was found dead at her North London home on Saturday, July 23.
